Education is basic human right, and no child should be deprived of this basic human right due to inability and hardship of their parents in paying for school transportation.  Edison Township in Central New Jersey is home of thousands of working class immigrant families.  Recently Edison Township Board of Education has victimized the students and tax paying Edison parents by unreasonable and unfair increase in School Transportation fee.  

All students from working class, economically weaker sections of Edison Township, and hard working tax payers in New Jersey are severely affected by this unwarranted and unconscionable hike of School Transportation fee. 

Families who don’t have means to transport their kids to schools, families in which both parents need to work to make both ends meet, families who have multiple kids  of school age,  and working class families are  badly  affected by this unfair transportation fee hike by Edison Township Board of Education.

We request Edison Township, Public Schools Administration and Board of Education to be compassionate, considerate and show mercy on all the students and their working class families, and make school transportation free for all students irrespective of where they live in Edison NJ.
