Many of us have submitted passport applications but the current situation at the passport offices suggests that we will not be getting any passports anytime soon. Consequently we are also unable to apply for our visas without new passports. The effects are far reaching. Families and whole livelihoods are at stake here. This has left us in a dilemma. An urgent solution is required. We have been informed that it is a stationery issue. There is no money for the special paper they use to produce passports. Ok, granted! There is no money for a whole lot of things currently. We still need a solution.  Some of us have expiring passports with fresh pages. We can easily do with an extension of the same passports. We need a way forward, one that is workable and can be rolled out as of 5 minutes ago.
