If you're a collector, you probably know what Bishoujos are!
For everybody else new to the hobby:
Bishoujos are a big part of japanese popculture and PVC statues based on artworks of famous artist Shunya Yamashita. Bishoujo translates to "pretty girl", so these statues are designed as cute girls based on famous characters from movies, games or general popculture.

With growing popularity the amount of fake pirated chinese bootlegs raised to a high level. A long time these were easy to spot, because of very low prices. Original Bishoujos get often rare quick and sell for 150,- to 250,-. Lately a lot of these fakes get listed for high prices too, so it's hard for new collectors to spot a fake if there won't be many pics. If there are pics the trained eye will notice a fake by the weak paintjob quality, but even a untrained eye of a new collector can spot a fake by a missing Kotobukiya Logo Branded display box or cheaper made bases.

This isn't only a financial damage for Kotobukiya which finance future lines from the sales. It discourages new collectors to enjoy this fun hobby to collect these pieces of art, for which they invest their hard earned money.

ebay only takes measures to ban fake sneakers, clothes...!
It's time for a change!
