There is a strong interest in the Southside Mitscher Park neighborhood to reopen the ice skating rink at the park. The demographics in the surrounding neighborhoods have significantly changed in the last few years. We believe there are enough young families with children to support reopening the local ice rink. The infrastructure is already in place with ice rink boundaries, lights, warming house and access ramp.  Please consider including Mitcher Park in budgetary discussions when planning this winters ice skating rinks.
