The Eastside Padres Contra la Privatizacion demands accountability for the Lineage Fire in Boyle Heights. The Lineage Logistics cold storage warehouse fire in Boyle Heights began on June 17, 2026 and it burned for eight days. The residents, workers, and businesses across Boyle Heights and East Los Angeles continue to experience serious health, economic and environmental impacts. Despite Governor Newsom’s declaration of a state of emergency there have been limited efforts to provide the residents and business owners immediate support. 

The community of Boyle Heights and East Los Angeles demands:

1. The permanent closure of the Lineage Logistics Boyle Heights facility, with no possibility of rebuilding or resuming operations at this location.
2. A complete and transparent environmental investigation and public report of the air, soil, and water that has caused ongoing health risks and contamination.
3. Immediate and thorough cleanup of the site. The persistent toxicity and odors coming from the property causing medical conditions indicate that hazardous conditions still exist and pose an ongoing threat to public health and daily quality of life.
4. Immediate evacuation, housing relief now! Immediate support is essential to ensure the quality of life of the community in the midst of this avoidable environmental racist disaster and crisis.
5. Clear communication and accountability of any funding associated with the Governor’s State of Emergency orders. Boyle Heights and East Los Angeles communities have yet to receive the adequate relief that an environmental disaster like this merits.  
6. Full accountability from Lineage Logistics and all responsible agencies, including a thorough investigation of negligence that will provide needed financial, and regulatory consequences to protect our community and prevent a disaster like this from ever happening again.

Eastside Padres Contra la Privatización exige rendición de cuentas por el incendio de Lineage en Boyle Heights. El incendio en el almacén frigorífico de Lineage Logistics en Boyle Heights comenzó el 17 de junio de 2026 y ardió durante ocho días. Los residentes, trabajadores y negocios de Boyle Heights y East Los Angeles continúan sufriendo graves impactos en la salud, así como repercusiones económicas y ambientales. A pesar de que el gobernador Newsom declaró el estado de emergencia, los esfuerzos para brindar apoyo inmediato a los residentes y propietarios de negocios han sido limitados.

La comunidad de Boyle Heights y East Los Angeles exige:

2. Una investigación ambiental completa y transparente, así como un informe público sobre el estado del aire, el suelo y el agua, factores que han provocado riesgos continuos para la salud y contaminación.
3. La limpieza inmediata y exhaustiva del sitio. La persistente toxicidad y los olores provenientes de la propiedad, que están causando problemas de salud, indican que aún existen condiciones peligrosas que representan una amenaza constante para la salud pública y la calidad de vida cotidiana
4. ¡Evacuación inmediata y asistencia habitacional ya! Es esencial brindar apoyo inmediato para garantizar la calidad de vida de la comunidad en medio de este desastre evitable de racismo ambiental.
5. Comunicación clara y rendición de cuentas sobre cualquier fondo asociado a las órdenes de estado de emergencia del gobernador. Las comunidades de Boyle Heights y East Los Angeles aún no han recibido la ayuda y el alivio adecuado que merece un desastre ambiental de esta magnitud.
6. Rendición de cuentas total por parte de Lineage Logistics y todas las agencias responsables, incluida una investigación exhaustiva sobre la negligencia, que conlleva las consecuencias financieras y regulatorias necesarias para proteger a nuestra comunidad y evitar que un desastre como este vuelva a ocurrir.
