Thanks to all your support and comments on this petition which together with our work with the C20 Society and Save Britains Heritage has resulted in developers Capreon and Architects the Harris Partnership creating a new proposal for the TJ Hughes redevelopment maintaining the existing 1920’s facade! The roof would be extended sensitively with a double mansard whilst replacement of the modem extensions complements the facade. The Eastbourne Society is very happy that the views of the town’s residents have been heard and we will be continuing to work with the developers as this revised scheme moves forward.
