⚠️ Developer Admits “No Opinion” on Solar Limits
During the Connecticut Siting Council proceedings, Aaron Svedlow of Gravel Pit Solar stated:
“I don’t have an opinion on what the right amount of solar per community is.”
This speaks volumes. The very company seeking to industrialize hundreds of acres of East Windsor farmland admits it has no position on how much solar development is too much — even when entire communities are being blanketed by panels.
💬 This is why your voice matters. The Connecticut Siting Council needs to hear from the public, not just developers. Please send your opposition letter to Docket 492A today — every message becomes part of the official record and helps community intervenors represent your concerns.
⏳ Less Than 25 Days Left to Act
East Windsor’s farmland, forests, and wildlife corridors are at risk — and this is the public’s last chance to speak before the Siting Council decides whether to approve the Gravel Pit Solar expansion.
Many residents couldn’t log in or speak during the virtual hearing, so the Council may believe there’s more support than there truly is. We need to show the truth: our community opposes this project.
✍️ How to Send Your Letter
Your letter doesn’t need to be long or technical. Just speak from the heart:
1️⃣ Your name & town of residence
2️⃣ A clear statement opposing Docket 492A
3️⃣ A few reasons why you’re concerned
(examples: loss of farmland & forest, harm to wildlife, noise & EMF concerns, fire risk, cumulative impact of multiple arrays, lack of transparency & local benefit)
4️⃣ Ask the Council to deny the expansion and stop further industrial solar on our agricultural land.
