Dear fellow friend of Huntly Park,
I'm going to keep thanking you for your support, as without it and that of hundreds like us, we would have no campaign.
You and I are examples of hundreds already pledged who agree that Huntly Park should not be built on.
The petition will be shared with East Renfrewshire Council in due course. I for one believe that local authorities should respect the will of the people.
This petition must be representative of the common will of the people if it is to have the strongest chance of success. For that reason, may I ask you to copy the link and share it on WhatsApp. What's the worst that can happen? The answer to that is that we lose the park. There would be no going back. That is why me must intervene before a lingering background threat becomes an imminent loss (by that stage, it is often too late).
I have learned that you need to be persistent if you are ever going to succeed. Or you can roll over and let it all go. I promise that's not going to happen with Huntly Park.
