Dear friend of Giffnock community and Huntly Park,
We are nearing 900 supporters of the petition to save Huntly Park. That is good going by the community, but we must not lose the momentum when it is most required. This is not just a petition to say 'no'. It is very much a petition that says 'yes'.
☕Yes to a community led café in the pavilion.
�Yes to all weather fitness equipment.
�Yes to increasing the biodiversity in the park (wild meadow flowers being an example).
Okay, there is a 'no' too, which is a rejection of any plans to build houses in the park.
I would be broken hearted if the park went. Like so many, I have memories of every part of it, over many years. So many of us do. It is a backdrop to so much of our lives. We must preserve it - and improve it - for the generations to come. That's it, I am going to change the slogan today: Love the Next Generation - Save Huntly Park
