This Tuesday December 1st, the East Hampton Town Board will hold a Work Session with a scheduled discussion on the rental registry. It is unknown what action the Board will take and whether or not they will vote on the registry that day. We did receive an uncorroborated tip as follows: "We have heard that the Town IT Department has just been instructed to get the Rental Registry ready for implementation by Jan 1." The Public Hearing on the Rental Registry may be over but we must be ever vigilant in our efforts to stop this capricious and arbitrary legislation. The Tuesday Work Session is another opportunity to make our opinions heard by the Town Board. At the beginning of the Work Session is a Public Portion for anyone to use to address the Town Board on any issue, including the rental registry. The Meeting will be called to order on December 1, 2015 at 10:00 AM (sharp) at the Town Hall Conference Room, 159 Pantigo Road, East Hampton, NY. Attend the Work Session if you can. Address the Town Board and tell them you Do Not Want a Rental Registry in East Hampton and why. You will have three minutes. The Public Portion is at the beginning of the Meeting right after roll call, so you can stop in, address the Town Board, and leave. Please plan to attend, it's very important. P.S.
