🐾 East Elmhurst Dog Park Petition Update 🐾

Hello everyone,

Thank you again for signing and supporting our petition for a dedicated dog park in East Elmhurst.

I wanted to share an important update. Queens Community Board 3 will be meeting on Thursday, September 17th at 7:00 PM, @ I.S. 227Q LOUIS ARMSTRONG SCHOOL AUDITORIUM - 32-02 Junction Blvd., East Elmhurst, NY 11369;  I plan to attend and ask for the opportunity to formally introduce our request for a dedicated dog park in our community.

If you are available and interested in attending, I would truly appreciate having members of our community there with me. A strong showing will help demonstrate that this is not the request of one person, but an initiative supported by neighbors who are committed to making this happen.

I also continue to need volunteers and Founding Members who are willing to support the dog park once it is established. the Parks Dept.  has made it clear that a successful dog run needs committed community members who will help keep the space clean, cared for, and responsibly maintained.

So there are two ways you can help right now:

👉🏾 Attend the Community Board 3 meeting on September 17th at 7:00 PM and stand with us in support of the dog park.

👉🏾 Volunteer to become part of the group that will help care for and maintain the dog park once we are successful.

We have already shown that East Elmhurst wants this. Now we need to show that we are also willing to come together as a community to support it.
