Ease Taxpayers' Burden: Embrace Digital Transaction Tax (DTT)

Ease Taxpayers' Burden: Embrace Digital Transaction Tax (DTT)
The Issue
---------------A Ray of Hope for the Indian Taxpayer------------------
This petition is dedicated to the relentless and selfless 8.5 crore taxpayers paying their taxes for the growth of this country
Tax issues have remained in India since ages. We understand the pain points of both taxpayers and the Government. After examining the financial revenue information and Digital Transaction foot print we discovered Digital Transaction Tax as a very potential solution.
----------------------------Understanding the Impact -----------------------
As per Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) less than 4 percent of Indian population pay income taxes.
There are currently only 85 million people paying taxes for a nation with over 1.4 billion population !
Many tax policies are borrowed from the West without understanding ground level economical conditions making our tax policy non inclusive and burdensome to a certain section of society.
------------------------Understanding the stake and solution----------------
Digital Transaction Tax or DTT is a game-changer that can propel the Indian economy to new heights while greatly reducing the burden on income taxpayers.
As per the DTT case study , taxpayers now need to only 1% tax (yes flat rate of 1%) and guess what , we have witnessed 200 to 300% growth in government tax revenues!! (yes that is right,200 to 300% growth in tax revenues).
------------ Understanding the case-study solution better------------------
To illustrate the transformative potential of DTT, let's consider the published financial information for FY21-22 by the Department of Revenue (DOR) and the Government of India (GOI):
* Net Direct Taxes: 8.088 lakh crore rupees
* Net Indirect Taxes: 9.563 lakh crore rupees
* Net Total Taxes: 17.651 lakh crore rupees
* Total Digital Transactions Value: 3,021 lakh crore rupees
If we implement a modest 2% DTT (Digital Transaction Tax), we can generate an astounding 2% of 3,021 lakh crore rupees, resulting in a staggering 60.42 lakh crore rupees in additional tax revenue.
This remarkable increase in tax revenue highlights the transformative potential of DTT:
* 647% higher than Net Direct Taxes
* 532% higher than Net Indirect Taxes
* 242% higher than Net Total Taxes
* 80% - 95% in tax savings through DTT
* More inclusive taxation as nearly 1 billion people indulged in Digital transactions in the previous year.
-------------------------------Time to Take Action ----------------------------
We, the taxpayers of India, urge the government to adopt Digital Transaction Tax (DTT) as a transformative measure for the country's economic growth and development. By embracing DTT, we can:
- Expand the tax base by bringing millions of untaxed individuals and businesses into the formal economy.
- Increase tax revenue to fund critical infrastructure, education, healthcare, and social welfare schemes.
- Simplify tax collection and administration, reducing the burden on taxpayers and the government.
- Promote digital transactions and financial inclusion.
