Greatwell Homes have now submitted a planning application to rebuild the wall along the High Street. The ref is: NW/22/00128/FUL. Please visit the North Northants Council website, scroll down to planning & building control, click planning information and then select Wellingborough. Click on view planning applications and then search by using the reference above. Please OPPOSE this application by requiring that a solution is put in place to save the tree before any works to the wall are undertaken. This photo shows the tree in the early 1950s, it's been here for decades and should stay for decades to come! We didn't get an opportunity to oppose the application to remove the trees but we can certainly have a say now! Please also know that there are a number of meetings and conversations being held behind the scenes between officers and Councillors from both NNC and the Parish Council to find a solution to this issue but we still need to voice our objections.  This petition is playing an important part in this process.
