Petition updateDr. Jeffrey Moss should resign as the Superintendent of Beaufort County SchoolsShould Moss ethics hearing be held in public?

The South Carolina Ethics Commission will hold hearings in August concerning the ethics laws that Superintendent Jeffrey Moss may have violated when he changed existing nepotism laws and hired his wife for a position with the Beaufort County School District. As an original signer to the petition calling for his resignation, I thank you for your support. The group CARE has begun a new petition calling for the hearings to be held in public. Dr. Moss has the ability to determine whether the hearing will be held in private or in public. If there is nothing to hide, he should call for the hearing to be held in public. The transparency that is obtained when issues concerning our government and its leaders are made public and held in the light day is critical to creating trust between government and its constituents. If you agree, please consider signing the new petition with the link below.
