Hi everyone,

After our request to get a shout-out about this petition from a certain YouTuber was ignored, Matt “Wags” Wagner from Eagle Dynamics appeared on that channel last week to talk about points related to this very topic. What a coincidence! But seriously, no shade, everyone is entitled to their opinion and has their own loyalties. However, one might reasonably infer that this petition has indeed catalysed Wags' interview, and as such, our voices are being heard.

Nonetheless, we are owed a formal and specific response to our petition from Eagle Dynamics. To that end, I have reached out to Wags to share the petition.

You can see below the message shared with Wags through the DCS World forum. We will keep you posted on the outcome.

Lastly, if you’ve not done so, you can still add a “Supporters Voice” comment to share your specific concerns per the link below. All comments help provide vital context on the real-world impact of this issue.

A final push for signatories in your own communities may just tip us over that 3,000 mark!

Sincerest thanks once again for taking the time to participate!

Cheers,

Hi Wags,

I hope you are well.

I want to start by saying how much I love DCS World as the leading combat flight sim, and I have a huge amount of respect for your work as a lynchpin of the community.

Catalysed by RAZBAM developer Prowler announcing that the upcoming DCS World Vulkan API release would kill all RAZBAM modules, there has been a groundswell of negative sentiment in the DCS community over this ongoing debacle. Quite simply, we want to continue to fly the modules for which we paid Eagle Dynamics many hundred of thousands if not millions of dollars in good faith.

Judging by the content of your recent YouTube interview, one might assume you’ve already got wind of the following petition. Regardless, as the petition organiser, it is my duty to the signatories to convey the clear message of nearly 3,000 of your customers:

Eagle Dynamics must do whatever it takes to enable us to keep flying RAZBAM modules in all future releases of DCS World.

Here is a link to the petition.

I encourage you and your senior management team to read each of the “Supporter Voices” comments for an understanding of the very real impact of this issue on your customer base: from people not purchasing other third party modules, which they otherwise would have, to discontinuing use of DCS World altogether.

This is not a criticism of you personally, but Eagle Dynamics as an organisation has handled the RAZBAM situation extremely poorly. Regardless of who is apportioning blame to whom, we as customers have invested huge amounts of money in Eagle Dynamics to fly our RAZBAM modules. That’s in addition to the countless hours of our lives spent learning and flying these modules, and one would expect they are still being actively flown by thousands of players today. It is immensely disappointing that for nearly two years we have had to put up with obfuscation and lack of clarity from Eagle Dynamics over the fate of these modules.

Eagle Dynamics has a big job to do to restore customer trust. We only have Eagle Dynamics’ assurances that this won’t happen with other modules in future, nothing concrete. Given that Eagle Dynamics’ official position on the RAZBAM modules has changed repeatedly, such assurances ring hollow. Eagle Dynamics would do a huge amount to reassure the community on the safety of purchasing third-party modules by resolving this particular issue as requested in this petition.

Thank you for taking the time to engage with what is a critical issue for your customers. For many, our continued custom with Eagle Dynamics depends on the outcome of this issue. As a community, we look forward to the official response from Eagle Dynamics.

With best wishes,
