The NFL-gaming community have no other choice in a simulation football game. Electronic Arts or EA, have an exclusivity agreement with the NFL and the gameplay quality has deteriorated over the years.  Features have been removed to then later be added and sold as a new or improved features. (For example offense and defense coaches have been added back.) this is just some of the issues on going

Without competition or other NFL (or gridiron ) game publisher alternative, consumers are left no other alternative but to chose the EA game to play. Gamers are passionate about NFL and all we ask for is for genuine improvements (Physics and Franchise Mode) to the gaming experience which has been lacking since the exclusivity agreement 

The games user rating was 0.2/10 for the 2021 edition https://www.metacritic.com/game/playstation-4/madden-nfl-21 and the same criticisms have been passed over and ignored for years. The game has been a copy and paste previous years version for at least 5 years running. With no meaningful improvement for the consumer. Micro transactions and meaningless game modes have been added but the gaming experience has not improved as a result.

The exclusivity agreement runs out in 2025. But consumers shouldn’t have to wait that long before a committed game developer provides a genuine reflection of the NFL.
