"Police have arrested an 11-year-old and six teenagers in connection with the fatal tahfiz school fire that killed 21 students and two wardens at the Darul Quran Ittifaqiyah Tahfiz Centre on Thursday." This does not take away from the fact that there were still no adequate safety measures at this and other tahfiz schools around the country, or negate the studies of the fire department in reporting 211 school fires in the last 2 years. Actually it highlights the fact that implementation of the previous RCI might have prevented the deaths. We must ensure that the recommendations of the previous RCI are put in place, and stronger adhrerence to licensing and safety practices.
