Durham College Students are being told to go back to in-class for labs and tests. Not only does this make the students choose between health and education, but it puts us in stressful situations as well as our families. 

We are being told to go back to school with only a screening, hand sanitizer, and masks "protecting" us from Covid-19.  We have had many emails from our school saying we have had a new case every week, but they still want us to go back to in-class for things that are not necessary. 

Students are traveling from "Grey Zones" to Durham College and this causes bigger risks for every student and facility member at the college. Also, some people have a family at home who are at high risk of getting the virus. People who are going to school are also coming in contact with people at work and such. 

If we do contract the virus, we are to miss school without any compensation and if this affects our final grade we are to pay and retake the course, if we want to finish the program.

We shouldn't have to choose over health or education.

Help us stop in-class until Covid-19 is under control.
