I have a request.... In your communications with your DCC Councillors, please first and foremost request that they save our trees. Once we get a commitment that our trees will be preserved, we can then answer their requests for alternative ideas. I've invited councillors to please read the comments on this petition as it's an excellent source of suggested alternatives. It also provides them with an insight into how their constituents feel about this plan and related issues. I've also requested that any alternative plans be made in consultation with all of the relevant user groups - cyclists, pedestrians, residents etc.
