We have the opportunity to recognise and honour Countess Constance Georgina Markievicz as the First Woman MP elected to the British Parliament but who declined to take her seat. A remarkable leader who became the First woman cabinet Minister of Labour in Europe, elected and appointed to the Dáil Éireann in Ireland.
