On January 4th, 2021, the DSBN posted about exams and culminating activities which are scheduled to happen between January 26th to February 1st. This announcement caused uproar and backlash from students and parents across the DSBN. Students have had to deal with so much quick and drastic changes throughout the past 21 months of this pandemic. From flipping to virtual and in-person school, to 1-period, then 2-period and then 4-period a day classes, with confusing schedule changes, it has thrown the students, as well as teachers in a loop. These constant changes have taken a very big toll on students’ mental health and well-being. The pandemic itself is already challenging enough to deal with. Students do not need the pressure of exams to challenge them even more.
