My son and niece were both victims of vicious attacks by the same aggressive dog. Despite repeated incidents and our persistent efforts to address the issue, adequate measures were not taken to ensure the safety of our children and the community. Their assurances that simply neutering the dog would resolve the behavioral problems proved tragically incorrect.

When this dog attacked my son again, causing severe injuries necessitating a hospital visit, i took decisive action to protect him and others from future harm. In defending his family, i was forced to put the dog down. It was an act of protection intended to prevent further attacks, not one of malice or unnecessary violence.

Instead of being commended for his protective instincts and courage, Kadin now faces legal charges. This is an injustice. Kadin should not be punished for prioritizing the safety of his family and our community.

Many of these attacks could be prevented with proper accountability and adherence to safety measures, such as quick intervention when a dog shows aggressive tendencies and proven patterns of violence.

We must push for fair treatment in cases of self-defense, particularly when it comes to protecting our children from harm. The charges against Kadin are unjust and set a dangerous precedent for those who may find themselves in similar situations.

We call upon local authorities to recognize the act of defense that Kadin performed was necessary and just, and to drop all charges against him immediately. Justice for Kadin is justice for all fathers who seek to protect their families. Let us ensure that courage in the face of danger does not become a punishable offense.
