Good to see new trains through nagercoil town. If the current trains are diverted through nagercoil town we can get speedup of more than 1 hour and additional regular trains . We need more trains and this is trure development . Currently we are not able to get more trains because track utilization is more than 160%. The main reason for this is trains unnecessarily entering nagercoil junction , Instead trains should bypass junction(on way to trivandrum,triunelveli) and stop at nagercoil town( entering and comming out of nagercoil juction takes ~more than 45 minutes and more importantly the signal is blocked at eraniel and aralvaimozhi ie no trains can pass in this route for more than 1 hour).Bypassing the nagercoil junciton will reduce the current track utilization and more trains can be accommodated . If the trains are still entering Junction when double line comes it is suicidal as this will block the addition lines and we loose more than 1.5 hours for each trains . For each train operated through Town, Ngl Jn could save 2 platforms.platforms. Utilizing this at least 2 additional trains could be operated from Ngl Jn. Besides all trains in the section will be speed up as the waiting time in the outer signal at Ngl will be eliminated.This will make the Trivandrum, nagercoil town, madurai route the shortest and the fastest to chennai,bangalore, hyderabad,orissa,kolkata and we will get more trains.
