The Issue

DRM is being applied via game launchers to games which have a single player experience. The DRM/Launcher forces an online connection to authenticate the game either every launch or so frequent to prevent playing without a connection.

This is excessive and unnecessary for these types of games. These launchers impede an offline experience and are only there to force a user to view the publishers storefront at each launch. I have purchased, as have many others, games for the purpose of travel where i may not have internet for days at a time. This is unacceptable.

We need to make laws to address DRM and Launchers in games where the experience is being impeded and forcing frequent online checks and requirements.
