Driver's Education Course for UNA Students

Driver's Education Course for UNA Students
The Issue
The University of North Alabama should offer a one credit course that grants students the opportunity to learn how to drive and obtain an American driver's license. As part of the course, the university will provide a vehicle to learn in and take the final driver's test in.
This will be most beneficial to the international student body who come to UNA with no license or car, and have difficulty traveling around North Alabama and the rest of the Southeast due to the severe lack of public transportation. It will also be beneficial to any domestic students who never had the opportunity to learn in high-school.
Alabama is one of the most car dependent states in the country, and students should not have try to find other people willing to teach them how to drive and hopefully let them take the test in their car. UNA is fully capable of offering this to the student body. It will increase student opportunities, morale, and exploration, and boost the tri-state economy.
If you are a UNA student, parent of a UNA student, or UNA alumni and agree with this, please share this on social media and email it to the UNA course creators who will ultimately decide if it will be implemented or not.
