I am emailing to let you know about the Annual Italian Pride Gala at Drexel University. Now, that we are back on campus, we want to organize the 2nd Annual Italian Pride Gala on April 1st at Drexel University.

The Italian Pride Gala aims to consolidate the Italian community at Drexel by promoting Italian culture, showing the Italian influence in the Philadelphia area and in the US, and getting students involved in Italian life (study abroad, minors, co‐ops, etc.). The Italian Pride Gala is meant to be a unique event on campus and a beacon to the Italian influence in Philadelphia. We are planning to bring back the Gala this Spring. Last time, many Italian and Italian-American organizations participated at the Gala such as the Italian Consulate of Philadelphia, Sbarro Foundation, Filitalia, PI-Philly, America Italy Society, Caiaro Consulting llc., Gran Caffe’ L’Aquila, Roma Club Philadelphia, and Alice Pizzeria. At the Gala, we organized an Italian Expo where other organizations had the opportunity to showcase their programs and connect with students.

I have attached below a link where to watch pictures of the previous Gala. At the moment, we are looking for sponsors for the event. If you wish to support the organization and the event, please email to italianpride@drexel.edu. We will send the flyer and booklet of the previous Gala for your review. We will be offering you a one-foot-long table at the Italian Expo with access to the Gala. Your logo will be on the merchandising materials (flyers, booklets, t-shirts, and step-and-repeat). Our goal is to reach $5k to pay for the catering. This event is really important for us to show the strength and unity of the Italian and Italian-American community especially during the last two challenging years. I would love to discuss more in detail about the Gala and your participation.
