As requested, we set up a Gofundme page to collect donations for the 2nd Italian Pride Gala.
The goal of the organization is to give students an outlet to express and explore Italian culture. Through our many events such as our Italian Language Classes, Gran Caffe L’Aquila outings, and various sports tournaments, we not only hope to create a fun experience for all Drexel students but also give them the opportunity to immerse themselves in different aspects of Italian life. Above all else, we hope to share in the common bond that Italy offers.
Every donation for the Gala will support the community to grow and promote Italian culture. Last time, we had over 100 participants at the Gala. The Italian Pride Gala was the first occasion where students, departments at Drexel, and professionals could meet in one night to network and celebrate the Italian culture. We helped promote programs, such as DUNIBO (an exchange program with the University of Bologna), so that students can be actively engaged in learning their own roots or to explore Italian culture. Also, the Gala is a great occasion for students to enjoy all together “La Dolce Vita” and for many of them, this can be the first Gala they attend.
