The Mordialloc Creek has not been dredged for 10 years. Boats in moorings around the creek cannot get into their moorings at low and mid tides making the creek unnavigable. The lack of dredging has created a major risk and safety issues for the many boat users of the creek. The creek is also environmentally suffering as the dredging cleans the plastics and rubbish from the creek.

The Mordialloc Creek Community made up of many stakeholders has been pushing for over five years to have the creek dredged and then ongoing maintenance properly funded. This will save costs long term. 

We have written to the Premier, the Treasurer, and the relevant Minister with no meaningful response. This is a safe harbour if a storm hits suddenly but it's not safe if boats cant use it. 

The Andrew's Government has funded new facilities at the Governor Road boat ramp but what's the point if trailer boats can't get out or in at low tide.
