Dr Zakir Naik, Stop Visiting Pakistan

The Issue

Dear Dr. Zakir Naik,

As-salamu alaykum, We Pathana (Pashtoons) hope this message finds you well and in good health. We want to convey our deep respect for your significant contributions to Islamic scholarship and your unwavering dedication to promoting peace, unity, and understanding through your teachings and outreach efforts.

We have learned about your upcoming visit to Pakistan and feel compelled to share some concerns regarding the safety and well-being of our Pashtun and Baloch communities. Before your visit, we urge you to heed the voices of the oppressed Pashtuns and Balochs who have been subjected to injustices and atrocities.

It is crucial to acknowledge the historical injustices suffered by our people since 1947, including the atrocities committed against Khan Abdul Ghaffar Khan and the ongoing human rights violations in regions like Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Balochistan, and other areas. The disappearances of innocent individuals by the Pakistani establishment and security forces, along with the mistreatment of women in places like Khaisur and Momand Agency, are deeply troubling issues that demand attention.

We wish to bring to your attention the grassroots movements like the Pashtun Tahafuz Movement (PTM), led by Manzoor Pashteen, that have emerged to peacefully protest against the oppression and injustices faced by Pashtuns and Baloch in Pakistan. Your awareness and support for these critical issues would be highly appreciated.

Support for Pashtuns and Baloch Communities in pakistan and  upcoming Pashtun Grand Jirga scheduled for October 11, 2024, symbolizes a significant step in the quest for addressing the longstanding grievances and injustices endured by the Pashtuns. The traditional court session planned during the Jirga reflects a commitment to Pashtun values and traditions in pursuing a peaceful resolution to their struggles.

Dr Zakhir Naik! Allah says in the Holy Quran:

Hazrat Muhammad SAW said:

Also Hazrat Muhammad SAW said:

We asking for your cooperation, cooperation among believers is crucial. As Musa (AS) sought help from Allah:

The verses from the Holy Quran and the saying of Hazrat Muhammad SAW shared &  emphasize the importance of promoting righteousness and guidance while rejecting wrongdoing and oppression. The call for unity in righteousness and piety resonates deeply with the principles of justice and compassion that are fundamental to Islam.

Your dedication to shedding light on these critical issues and advocating for the rights of the marginalized communities in Pakistan is commendable. May your efforts contribute to fostering a more just and equitable society for all.

We humbly request your support by reconsidering your visit to Pakistan. Your presence might be used to undermine the Pashtun Grand Jirga, which advocates for justice. Your trip is being planned to sabotage the Jirga, we hope you will heed the plea of our oppressed people and cancel your trip, ensuring that the fight for justice for the Pashtuns is not silenced.
