In sixth form, boys in Brentwood Ursuline are not required to wear the school blazer. The Brentwood Ursuline Blazer carries so much weight on each young ladies’ shoulders: the absurd cost of the blazer, “deck chair” harassment from neighbouring schools, and the ability to stand out like a sore thumb in crowds. Why is it the boys do not have to suffer the same way Ursuline women do? They must stand in solidarity beside the Ursuline women and should spend as much money and experience the humiliation we all have. That is part of the Ursuline experience and what it means to be an Ursuline girl.
