They have decided to have the county Graduating Classes of 2020 to be held at the Drive In.  This decision was made without any of the students opinions. Many students and parents have voiced their opinion in disagreement with their decision. Other School districts in the local area have all taken into consideration of what the students wanted in planning their graduation. Carter County did not. This puts a tremendous amount of stress on the students in having to decide who will get to attend since it is only 1 vehicle per student. Many parents are divorced and do not get along. This petition is purposed for Dr Ward to revisit the planning process for graduation. For each school to poll the students to find out what they would like to do for graduation. They should be the ones who get to decide the best way and safest way for them to have a ceremony. I have done everything I can for the kids of Happy Valley over the last 4 years and they entrust me to help them with this ordeal so I’m willing to do whatever I can to help them get the graduation they deserve.
