As you may know Union’s semi-final game Friday night against Paterson Eastside was canceled due to 4 positive Covid results out of 48 players. Everybody that was tested negative should be able to play. Covid is a matter that isn’t going away anytime soon, so what happens if this happens again next year and the year after  you’re going to cancel those games to? To be fair to the Class of 2022 you would have to and if that’s the case how can we ask these Student Athletes to give their all to a program THAT DOESNT EVEN HAVE THEIR BACKS. This decision was made without consulting all parties that it would effect and we as a Union Community won’t stand for it.  If the Kids weren’t allowed to play a Friday Night Game why were they able to go to school with 2000 people. You have kids depending on these last couple games for scholarships to get into college and have a chance at a better life beyond the GridIron. LET THE KIDS PLAY OR A LAWSUIT IS COMING FROM EVERY PARENT OF UNION HIGHSCHOOL FOR THE ENTIRE BOARD OF EDUCATION AND DR.
