Today, the transplant team at the University of Alberta Hospital in Edmonton met to decide about Eric's fate as a transplant candidate. They said yes! Not only has Eric been accepted on the liver transplant waitlist, given how sick he is now, Eric is at the top of the waitlist. Better still, this has sparked a lot of discussion here in Edmonton about transplant policies. It is possible that policies surrounding the 6-month wait and rehab pre-requisites will be changed, resulting in more lives saved. Thank you everyone for your continued support.
