Ayodhya, Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya which is the only prominent residential school run by the Govt. of India. for the children of rural areas of the district. This residential institute is in urgent need of accommodation of about 400 students at the earliest, because of pathetic and dilapidated condition of boys hostels, Which have been declared unfit, unsafe and dangerous for living by multiple Govt. authorised agencies. Due to this Navodaya Vidyalaya is going through a serious accommodation crisis since 2018, which has taken a frightening form this year and institute has been orphaned.

The accommodation crisis has forced many students to stay out of campus, and school administration has been forced to shift some students in temporary shed which are not primarily meant for accommodation purposes. Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti has also reduced the number of student intake in this academic session from 80 to just 40 students due to this  there is reduced educational opportunities for the marginalised & talented students of Ayodhya district. We strongly disapprove this decision and also would request for reversal of this decision immediately.

It is a humble request to you to kindly help in getting the attention of responsible authorities i.e. Ministry of Education and Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti for the construction of new hostels in the school premises of JNV, Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh with a capacity to accommodate at least 400 children.
