Dear Fine Folks, Thank you to all of you who have responded!!! Eight days ago, I sent a letter to Corey Wise and Rex Corr asking them to reconsider not working with the Japanese Foundation which could offer substantial financial assistance to Castle View for two years. I can't imagine, with money not the issue, why they wouldn't do what is right by the students and continue Japanese. In addition, teachers at Castle View have reviewed the data on the Japanese student numbers and have found a growth (instead of the claimed decline) in the program in all the years but one. This makes no sense! I have not received a response so once again I am asking all of you to contact the DCSD Administration and Castle View High School and politely demand that they work with the Japan Foundation and continue the Japanese Program at Castle View.
