Douglas - A Small Town Thinking Big 

"When the copper smelter in Douglas, Arizona, shut down three decades ago, hopes for the border town’s economic future dwindled.

Now, however, Douglas Mayor Robert Uribe sees opportunity in the border itself, but says the the economic opportunities there are contingent upon the federal government working to improve the port of entry.

Uribe and business leaders want to leverage cross-border trade, tourism and other sectors to create more jobs and decrease poverty. Arizona Public Media sits down with the mayor to talk about the future of the town."
