Uribe: Mayors’ support for port project 'speaks volumes'

Douglas’ Mayor Robert Uribe encouraged collaboration among all the cities in Cochise County as plans progress toward the construction of a new commercial port and the revamping of the existing port of entry downtown.
Uribe welcomed other mayors from southern Cochise County as well as the mayor from Agua Prieta when he hosted the Regional Border Mayors Summit last Monday, Dec. 10 at the Gadsden Hotel.
“Everyone in this room makes Douglas the greatest border community in the state of Arizona,” Uribe said in his welcoming remarks. “Douglas is part of a broader community and our relationship is stronger by having all of us in this room working together.”
