Helping protect our border agents, while pushing for the Port of Entry project? When was the last time, we were getting so much update? But the mayor has not done anything for Douglas? 

Baldenegro added that Mayor Uribe and his staff understand the critical role of CBP Ports of Entry to the economic development of southwest border communities and have invested their time and effort to work through the donation acceptance program process.
 
“As a Douglas native I personally want to extend my deepest gratitude to the City of Douglas for their most generous donation,” she said. “The donation of this parking lot … is one of many of the City of Douglas’ accomplishments and successes. This parking lot will enable us to implement parking lot security measures, reduce port congestion and provide added commercial vehicle staging and support of our unified cargo processing.  I cannot thank the City of Douglas enough for its support and I look forward to our continued working relationship.”
