The Delta coronavirus has been identified as a deadly strain that is highly contagious to children.  Presently, the number of children who are not eligible to be vaccinated are increasingly testing positive and getting very ill.  Multiple countries, rich or not, have failed to contain the Delta virus.

We, the parents and grandparents of Ontario have been concerned about the lack of action from policy makers who underestimate the risk.  Swift and decisive action must be taken to ensure that our schools remain as safe as possible. Schools are the modern petri dishes for the virus. 

Therefore, we demand that all schools:

• have only vaccinated staff members in schools
• only allow vaccinated students for in person learning in the high schools unless there is a medical or religious exemption
•  any students and staff who choose to be unvaccinated will be accommodated by participating in online learning
• make the contingency plans available to students and parents
