The lockdown is a violation of our human rights. The extreme measures taken have impeded on our civil rights to assemble and devastated the economy. These measures are unnecessary, immoral and unconstitutional.

It has been enforced under the Emergency Management and Civil Protection Act R.S.O 1990. The definition of an emergency under the act is:“emergency” means a situation or an impending situation that constitutes a danger of major proportions that could result in serious harm to persons or substantial damage to property and that is caused by the forces of nature, a disease or other health risk, an accident or an act whether intentional or otherwise; (“situation d’urgence”).

Global studies now indicate that the mortality rate is between .0145% and 2% of known cases; with many populations testing positive for antibodies between 20%-50% to dramatically reduce the mortality rate. The COVID virus is not an emergency and the state of emergency must be lifted.

We call on our elected officials to take action against this assault on our liberty, and the future of our province.
