Angel’s Way 

    Victims: Angel Marie Lopez and Reggie 

In Arizona the freeways have been known to have many wrong-way drivers especially near the 101 loop. A long time friend of 13 years (Angel Marie Lopez)  and her boyfriend (Reggie)  were victims to a wrong-way driver near the loop 101 and camelback on May 2,2021 around 2:30am. This has been a common area where wrong-way drivers are found. In order to decrease these accident rates there must be a prevention made.

The family is deeply devastated by the event that occurred as well as all her and his friends and would like to see a change. Posting a sign is not helping therefore more should be done for example tire spikes and large yellow barrel so if a wrong-way driver does try to drive their car it will be stalled out before reaching a potential victim.

We as a whole would like to see a change in the community to help future families and friends  not have to experience what we all are experiencing currently. The roads are not safe and we want them to be for patrons to feel comfortable in traveling on the freeway. 

I am asking the community to sign this petition to bring this awareness to the surface and stand for those that we have lost. Their voice will be heard through ours and soon will be one. Please take the time to sign and share this petition in order for the state to make a change. We need to make the freeway safe and in order to do that we must take this stand.
