CALL TO OUR CHINESE CULTURAL CENTER SUPPORTERS

It is time again to gather and to show our unity and fight for the Chinese Community Center and Garden!

The first public protest right on the site along the street occurred in August, 2017. This was commemorated in mid-August with a full-house gathering of encouraging presentations by adults and delightful performances by children at Szechwan Palace Restaurant.

In September 2017 nearly a thousand members of the community marched down to City Hall, in addition to the multiple times before and after when we have filled the City Council Chamber even to overflow into the basement to demonstrate our strong support for this iconic emblem of our ancestral Chinese heritage.

On September 19th, Andy Zhang filed a Citizen Petition with the Council expressing concern with David Tedesco/True North/668 and associates who have made maximum campaign contributions to one candidate for Mayor of Phoenix. The City will respond on October 3, 2017.

It is time for all of us available to fill the City Council Chamber once again! Please come down and show our love for our cultural heritage, and our determination as a minority to secure our equal rights!

In this political season, all Chinese American and other citizens of Phoenix must take heed. We must remember that the price of liberty is vigilance.
