There is an ongoing unfairness when it comes to family law against the system. The system is allowed to be bias and use past history against a person even if there are no factors to substantiate the allegations. This petition well help families by giving a fair chance an not just snatching kids from home the that have no demonstrable evidence of neglect or abuse but instead put in place a system that is already there just needs to be enforced by DHS or CUA assisting families in home more than abruptly removing kids causing more harm than good. Leaving the famlies to deal with the backlash of emotional distress by the system implemented to help.I am a mother of five that has been dealing with them since 2012 i was young with no understanding of the system when they came in my life. I had done all they had asked plus more for them to still terminate my rights at the end. As years went on i was nervous to parent scared that i would become subject again, when god blessed me with my fourth. I battled with termination but I thought god wouldn’t give me more than i could handle. I then decided to continue with the pregnancy praying it would work out and it did. Current year i was taking care of my grandmother as her hospice aide and she past in my home. Trying to cope i went to my doctors and she saw me sad in distress and told me i should get in therapy because a passing especially of someone close can be a lot on a person. It was but it didn’t hinder me at any shape or form as a parent. I went to the social worker at my doctor office to explain all my past history expressing that i don’t want to regress cause i was doing very well and just wanna stay on that path but it hurt because my grandmother raised me since birth. The social worker made a claim to DHS to help me but they have altered my life once again for no reason. DHS came in found no signs of abuse or neglect just that i was a single mom with a past. The past the used to remove my kids and tricked me and my family into signing documents. It was a horrible experience and unjust i just want the fairness I’m entitled to.
