Mr. Trump, concede to the popular vote.
The Issue
Mr Trump, in 2012 you tweeted "The phoney electoral college made a laughing stock out of our nation. The loser won!"
As we approach the December 19th vote of the electoral college, I implore you to ask the electoral college not to vote for you, concede, and allow the winner of the popular vote to assume the presidency.
Our democracy is in peril. By doing this, you can preserve our nation, respect the constitution, allow the electoral college the freedom to align themselves with the will of the majority, and (most importantly to you) still claim that you won. You have already conceded many of your positions to align with your former opponent, is putting this choice out there really a step to far?
We are looking at the greatest electoral to popular vote margin ever seen in our nation's history and the largest protests of an election outcome ever seen on our streets. Please, allow for this possibility. It may still result in an outcome favorable to you and you will appear gracious and magnanimous for it.
Sincerely, the American Electorate
