This petition is a counter offer of the one that has been made by an individual named Nelson Green. Honestly this person has not personally sat down and talked with someone who is a furry, like myself, and understand why we identify as animals.  We as a group in public bring many smiles to everyone big and small, especially children. Children love us and we allow them to hug us and take pictures etc.  We as furies identify as animals cause we feel more comfortable as such. There are videos out there of news reporters actually taking time to interact with us, putting on a suit and understanding who we are as individuals.  We have the right to be who we are. Do not take something that we as a furry community worked so hard to achieve in finally being accepted and recognized as something that is fun loving not only for us, but children as well.  People that are hating on us, truly do not understand us, nor care for our feelings on the matter and be punished for being who we are. This is nothing more than hate and all we do is love and honestly, I love being a furry cause I can become the inner beast that hides inside myself. A spirit animal you might say. Just nothing more than us connecting deeply with that inner beast and revealing to the world and reforming our image to show who we are inside. Thank you for your time in reading this!
