Vaping Age Legislation

Vaping Age Legislation
Our focus is the infringement of previously held rights of adults by denying them the right to use healthier nicotine delivery methods. Many adults have already been affected by the new law that states you have to be 21 or over to buy vaping products. It’s absurd that the age to enlist is 17, and 18 to vote, yet they no longer have the right to go out and buy vaping products. The legislation is currently being used to effect MINORS aged 16 and under from getting vaping products, but they are legislating adults between the ages 18 -21 from getting vaping products. If 18 - 21 year old’s are to be viewed as adults, then they should be given the right to decide whether or not they want to purchase vaping products. Instead of taking away the right to purchase vaping products, we would like Texas to continue to honor the grandfather clause as originally intended. We ask that the cities of Bryan and College Station continue to honor the grandfather clause that Texas had previously instated when the state originally changed the smoking and vaping laws to 21 and higher.
