In 2018, more people died of the flu than have died of Covid-19 thusfar. This is unacceptable, as every life is precious. I am proposing a full nationwide lockdown of all individuals and businesses each flu season in order to protect the elderly & vulnerable from dying. This may seem extreme, but this year we have been given clear evidence of how many lives can be saved when our government prioritizes the health and safety of its citizens above all things. During the lockdown, accidental deaths are sure to fall as well, meaning that even more lives will be saved by our heroic actions together as a nation. Who is with me?
