Substitute teachers across the county’s families are on the street, homeless, or about to be.  Stimulus check of $1200 didn’t put a dent into our household job loss. I and other substitutes are just looking for our loss in wages of 7-9 weeks that we would of earned if students were in the classroom until years out.  School districts across America are reporting that substitutes are working and earning money which we are not. There are no more vacancy, long term or day to day substitute open positions to fill.  Other positions such as part-time or on call positions from other careers have no unemployment checks either. We only hear deny, deny, from unemployment. No unemployment and no Cares Act money for part-time or call workers. If Americans aren’t working there is no money in our banks we cannot be productive citizens or economical boosters. Please add a clause to unemployment and or Cares Act now. Give part-time employees from other careers back their lost wages also. Substitutes and I are the back bone to all school districts across America and to your children.
