Eric Gansle started this petition to Democratic presidential candidate Beto O'Rourke and

Texas and all of America needs to Criminalize Parental Alienation as child abuse to protect our children and the future of our country.

Parental Alienation must be recognized as criminal child abuse.  Thousands of children will be saved from years of emotional and psychological abuse through an alienating parent or family member with the criminalization of Parental Alienation.  This change will also save the alienated child from Parental Alienation Syndrome, learned narcissistic behaviors,  and self destructive tendencies resulting from the alienating parent.

Criminalizing Parental Alienation will stop parents and family members from abusing the Justice System (Police and CPS) and abusing their children through false accusations of abuse against the alienated parent.  Statistics show that only 20 percent of child abuse reports out of 2.1 million cases in 2013 were valid and yet the alienator often doesn't suffer any consequences for this abuse and these false criminal accusations.  The alienator often gets away with this through the very system of justice that is supposed to protect us and our children against this abuse.  When Parental Alienation is criminalized, law enforcement will be able to take action against the abusive alienator instead of just calling this a civil matter and allowing the child abuse to continue for years on end while allowing the targeted parents relationship with the child to become irreparably damaged.  It's imperative that we hold people accountable for this child abuse through criminal action.

We need to stand strong together as a community and nation for our children to show the Legislators and the Judicial branch of government we will not stand for an America that abuses our children.
