Petition updateShow our Defence Force your support with respect, not a pay cut..Government backs down and backflips on ADF pay offer

This morning the Minister for Defence, Kevin Andrews, with the Prime Minister Tony Abbott, announced a revised pay offer for the ADF over the next three years.
The revised offer is at 2% per year over three years.
The latest reported current annual inflation rate is at 1.7% (December 2014 qtr).
Over the past 5 months every single person who has signed this petition has made a difference to our ADF members.
To each and every one of you I say from myself as well as on behalf of the ADF members a huge thank you.
I am sure that knowing there was such a level of support from the community for them has demonstrated the value we as a population place on our ADF.
In the 100 anniversary year of Gallipoli, it is fitting that our ADF are recognised for the service they provide to us.
As we have achieved our objective of obtaining a pay offer above inflation, I will be marking this petition as successful and victorious and acknowledging the almost 66,000 passionate supporters of our ADF who signed the petition.
Again thankyou for your support.
Tony
